Whilst we were closed, the lockdown provided the perfect opportunity for us to refurbish The Hayward Suite. 

Our purpose built function room provides an excellent space for events, with it's own bar, kitchen and toilet facilities. It was beginning to look a little tired, so with the help of some local businesses, we have completely redecorated, with painted walls, new stylish panelling, new floor, new carpet, along with new tables and chairs. Subtle hues of grey provide a neutral backgrop. 

The Hayward Suite is an excellent venue for weddings, parties, funeral wakes, christening, meetings and more.

COVID-19 and visiting The Wolversdene Club and The Hayward Suite. 
We’re keeping calm and carrying on as usual here at The Wolversdene Club, however we wanted to update you on the steps we are taking to help minimise the spread of COVID-19.
The health and well-being of our staff, members and visitors is our priority and we are continuing to follow and monitor official guidance from the UK Government and Public Health England carefully.

To help combat the spread of COVID-19, we are putting precautionary safety measures in place, including:
​

• Asking all staff, members and visitors to everyone who frequents the club to thoroughly wash their hands upon arrival at the premises and follow the NHS guidelines for hand-washing (we have plenty of hand soap and paper towels in our toilets)
  
  
• Cleaning high traffic areas more frequently - with particular attention to contact points such doors, toilets, payment terminals, bars, tables and chairs. 
  
  
• Encouraging contactless payments where possible and reducing the amount of cash our staff handle

The next few months are set to be a difficult time for small business and clubs like ourselves who rely on trade from our members, so if you are in a position to do so we ask you to continue to support the club with your patronage, but please do not take any unnecessary risks.

We have strict guidelines for any of our staff who may begin to show symptoms to stay away from the club and we would encourage all our members and visitors to do the same and stay at home if they feel unwell; if you or a family member is experiencing any of the recognised symptoms; a temperature or a new, continuous cough – please follow the NHS /Government guidelines and self isolate for at least 7 days. 
The Wolversdene Club has stood the test of time for almost 70 years and we are proud to be a hub for the local community, long may it continue! For many of our older members we provide an important social scene and connection with the outside world so it is important during this period of uncertainty that we pull together as a community and take care of each other, particularly the more vulnerable members of our club.

Our purpose built function room, is self contained for your use, separate to our Members Club and features it's own toilets, bar and kitchen. It is tastefully decorated and has a proper dance floor. Room hire for evening parties is usually £125 but we are offering it for any FRIDAY for FREE!*
